How Therapy Works For You

Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with a trained professional. It can help you understand and address underlying issues contributing to challenges in your life, such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, or trauma. 

In a typical session, you’ll discuss your concerns with your counsellor. They may ask questions, offer insights, and help you develop coping strategies. The session is a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Most people attend counselling sessions weekly, but the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs.

The duration of counselling varies depending on your needs and goals. Some people benefit from short-term therapy (e.g., 6-12 sessions), while others engage in long-term therapy.

Consider counselling if:

  • You’re struggling with emotional difficulties or life challenges.
  • You feel overwhelmed or unable to cope.
  • Your relationships are suffering.
  • You’re experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.
  • Be open and honest with your counsellor.
